SYNOPSIS
The London Australian Film Society is proud to present The Great Australian Punk Rock Movie Massacre, as two mad, punk-inspired films and three Australian cult legends land at the Horse Hospital 22 March for a raucous night of big screen, beer-fuelled mayhem, followed by an in-person Q&A (which will be pure mayhem we expect).
A second screening will be the following afternoon, 23 March, at Genesis Cinema.
These two special double bill screenings sees Andrew Leavold (The Search For Weng Weng) present his new documentary, PUB: THE MOVIE – a wild and crazy ride through Melbourne’s art and punk underground – whilst Trasharama maestro Dick Dale unveils his latest disasterpiece, the anti-smoking splatter comedy, RIBSPREADER, which features cameos from Troma Films’ Lloyd Kaufman, Laurence Harvey (Human Centipede 2), Aussie music legends Chad Morgan and Spencer P. Jones, and legendary punk rocker, Rat Scabies (The Damned).
Joining Leavold and Dale on this gonzo adventure (and on stage) is Melbourne artist and punk rocker, Fred Negro: RIBSPREADER actor, subject of PUB: THE MOVIE, and one of Australia’s finest cartoonists – don’t miss this!
PLEASE NOTE: these films are not for the feint-hearted or easily offended - it's pure punk and these lads know how to shock.
