The final day of the London Australian Film Festival kicks off with the UK premiere of EGO: THE MICHAEL GUDINSKI STORY, a wild rock’n’roll ride with a maverick entrepreneur who defied convention.
As the hitmaker and trailblazer behind Mushroom Records, Michael Gudinski inspired the soundtrack of a nation and revolutionised the Australian music industry. This documentary follows Gudinski's relentless pursuit of success over five decades as he launches the careers of countless artists, promotes legendary international acts, and takes Australian music to the world.
This is a music doc of epic proportions, featuring exclusive interviews with some of the world’s most influential artists, including Kylie Minogue, Ed Sheran, Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Paul Kelly, Jimmy Barnes, Neil Finn, Dave Grohl and many more. Drawing on extraordinary rare footage, and an electrifying soundtrack, this documentary reveals the man behind the music and the unstoppable force that was Michael Gudinski.
The feature will be preceded by a short film, and Australian snacks and sweets will be on sale, with a raffle held before the screening.
With thanks to Mushroom Studios.
